Great Bang For The Buck Beginners Pack
I buy a lot of cheap guitars for projects and this was to be one of them. This is the second Donner guitar I've purchased (previously a Tele) and find them great value for project or parts guitars. Not to say there's anything wrong with them the way they are. On the contrary, these are great bases for projects or beginners guitars. The guitar and accessories come well packed with some braced internally to help stop from postal damage. Shipping is also quite quick and only took a week all up to arrive (including a weekend). It's what you'd expect from an ST style guitar - 3 pickups, nice contours and round-overs to the body, good neck profile and finish is immaculate. The fact they include a decent gig bag and lead are definitely a bonus and sways my decision to purchase from others ... I buy a lot of cheap guitars for projects and this was to be one of them. I've had other guitars more expensive than this with bad fretwork, bad parts, shoddy wiring, bad paint jobs. I see none of this on the Donners. The fretwork is excellent for a budget guitar - no sharp edges to cut hands which is important for a beginners guitar. The action and relief were a little off, but you could give this to a beginner and they could pretty much play this straight out of the box. The pickups are so-so, but sound OK through a decent amp. The split coil functions a nice touch though as are vintage style tuners. I'm sure all of the parts under the pickguard are generic pots/switch/pickups but work fine. The accessories included are good and includes everything a beginner would need - gig bag, lead, strap, picks, capo, tuner, extra strings and a nice touch is the felt bag to hold most of them. Setup tools (allen keys) are also included. The amp is a bit of joke really, but for a beginner is good enough as it's not too loud to annoy parent and neighbours. Included is the most important feature - distortion 😁 As previously stated, I purchased this guitar as a project. This pack in particular for the accessories, as I can give those to my grand daughter with a smaller guitar as her first and I can use the guitar for a project. I definitely recommend Donner guitars for beginners to intermediate players or if you're looking for something cheap as a project. They're a great starting base.

Great Fun
Great fun, bought it for my 3 year old grand-daughter so she could have a guitar like her grand-fathers USA strat. Heap of goodies game which are pretty awesome for the price. Guitar looks great and quite impressed, though will need to set the action on it when I get the time. As I travel quite a bit with work, I am going to take this with me on my travels tomorrow!
